The 10th Ever KYC BassAckwards Poker Run is set for Saturday, July 18, 2026, bringing boaters together for a relaxed small-vessel rally around Red Brook and Pocasset Harbors. Hosted through Kingman Yacht Club, the event runs from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with participants visiting five dealer stops to collect sealed playing card envelopes before returning for the evening draw party.
This is not a race. Participants may travel at their own pace, and there is no advantage to being first to any of the card stops. The game is open to power, sail, and paddle vessels, making it a fun harbor poker run for a wide range of boaters. Captains should pick up their entry flags at the Kingman dock house before heading out to play.
During the run, dealer boats will be positioned at five locations around the harbor area. Stops may be visited in any order between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM. Dealer boats will fly checkered flags to identify themselves, and participating boats should approach dealer boats at idle speed while displaying their assigned boat color.
At each stop, a playing card will be passed to the boat in a sealed envelope. Envelopes must remain sealed until the drawing at the awards party. Any envelope opened early or showing signs of tampering may result in disqualification.
Participants should bring their five-card hand to the Draw Party at Kingman Yacht Club at 7:00 PM. There will be a cash bar at the Draw Party. The boat with the best poker hand will win $1,000, and the boat with the worst poker hand will win $500.
The entry fee is $85 per boat and must be received with the completed application by 5:00 PM on Wednesday, July 15. Entry includes participation for one boat, entry to the BassAckwards Poker Run and Draw Party, two official BassAckwards 2026 t-shirts, and one Kingman Yacht Center zippered tote bag. Captains may purchase up to two additional Draw Party tickets per boat for $30 per ticket, provided those tickets are purchased before the boat’s card envelopes are opened. Additional ticket availability is limited.
