Wake the Lake

The Wake The Lake Poker Run will bring boaters together Sept. 11–12, 2026, for a weekend of recreational boating, poker-run action and charitable fundraising on Lake Eufaula in Alabama.

The event will operate from Chewalla Creek Marina in Eufaula, with Friday activities beginning at 9 a.m. Participants will head onto Lake Eufaula and visit participating locations around the lake while building their poker hands.

The 2026 route includes seven available poker stops, and participants must complete a minimum of five stops during the run. Boaters can choose their route among Chewalla Creek Marina, Todd’s Place, The Island, Pataula Creek Bait and Tackle, the Lakepoint Entrance, Grafitis and The Gator Hole.

The format gives participating crews flexibility to enjoy Lake Eufaula at their own pace rather than following a timed racing course. The event is a recreational poker run, with the winning results determined by the cards collected rather than boat speed.

Wake The Lake is also using the weekend as a fundraising event, with online registration and donations available through its current Givebutter campaign. The campaign has established a $5,000 fundraising goal for the event.

Additional details concerning poker-hand pricing, prizes, the final hand-turn-in deadline and Saturday’s complete schedule have not yet been publicly announced.
