The Last Run

The Last Run Potomac River Powerboat Association

The Potomac River Powerboat Association will close out the boating season with “The Last Run” on Saturday, October 17, 2026, bringing performance-boat owners and recreational boaters together for a full day on the Potomac River.

The event is organized by Ike Windsor and the Potomac River Powerboat Association and is planned as a relaxed group run featuring fast boats, waterfront restaurant stops and plenty of time for crews to socialize along the river.

The day begins at Sharks Tooth Island, where participants are scheduled to gather from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Boaters will then head to Dockside Restaurant for the second stop of the day, scheduled from noon to 1:30 p.m.

The third stop will be Port Tobacco Restaurant from 2 to 3:30 p.m., giving participants another opportunity to dock, grab food and spend time with other crews before continuing the run.

The final scheduled destination is Fitzies Marina Restaurant & Pub beginning at 4 p.m. The gathering is expected to continue through sunset, providing a waterfront finish to the Potomac River Powerboat Association’s final organized run of the season.

The Last Run is designed as a bring-your-own-boat event, and participants are encouraged to bring friends and make a full day of the cruise. Rather than following a competitive poker-run format, the event focuses on group boating, restaurant stops and enjoying the Potomac with fellow powerboat enthusiasts.

Boaters should confirm the latest event information with the Potomac River Powerboat Association before departure, including any changes to timing, docking arrangements or the planned route. Captains should also operate responsibly, maintain adequate spacing between boats and remain alert around restaurant docks and other river traffic.
