Upper St. Joe River Rats Poker Run

RayGin on the River is expected to return to Prescott, Wisconsin, bringing live music, boats and one of the Upper Midwest’s most unique floating summer parties back to the St. Croix River.

Organized by Dirty Prescott Kids and RayGin Entertainment, the grassroots event combines an on-the-water concert with a casual river raft-up. Instead of watching the show from seats inside a traditional concert venue, boaters gather on the river, anchor nearby and enjoy live performances surrounded by boats, music and the waterfront scenery of Prescott.

The event began in 2025 as a free floating concert created around community support, independent music and a shared love of spending summer on the river. It returned in 2026 as RayGin on the River 2, which organizers also promoted as “The Peaceful Protest”—a response to large corporate concerts and events that have lost their connection with the people attending them.

RayGin on the River 2 featured a lineup of independent country, rock and country-rap performers that included Dirty Prescott Kids, Vodnik, Taylor Young, Up North Jake and Northern California country-rap artist Camo Cali. The event also received support from local Prescott businesses, regional sponsors and members of the surrounding boating community.

The upcoming edition is expected to continue the same free-form river-party format with live performances, boats, floating, music and a full afternoon on the St. Croix River. This is not a traditional poker run with card stops or an established cruising route. It is an on-the-water concert and social gathering where boaters come together near Prescott for an independent live music experience.

Boaters should watch the official RayGin on the River social pages for the confirmed event date, performer announcements, exact gathering location, recommended launch ramps, anchoring instructions and any information regarding access from shore.

Those attending by boat should arrive with appropriate anchoring equipment, dock lines, life jackets, food, drinks and everything needed for an afternoon on the water. Participants should also designate a sober operator, monitor river and weather conditions and follow all Wisconsin boating regulations throughout the event.
