Mina Lake Pontoon Poker Run

The Mina Lake Pontoon Poker Run will bring boaters together Saturday, August 22, 2026, for an afternoon of card stops, decorated boats and recreational boating on Mina Lake near Mina, South Dakota.

The event is scheduled from 3 to 7 p.m. at Wakeside Bar & Grill. Participants are invited to gather their boat or pontoon crews and travel between stops around the lake while enjoying a relaxed summer day on the water.

This year’s poker run will feature a patriotic theme. Boaters are encouraged to decorate their vessels and dress their crews in red, white and blue before heading out on the lake.

The Mina Lake event is organized as a social pleasure-boating outing rather than a race. Participants will visit the designated stops and collect what they need to complete their poker hands, with the cards—not boat speed—determining the results.

Wakeside Bar & Grill will serve as the event headquarters. The lakeside restaurant is located at 103 South Sunset Drive in Mina and regularly hosts boating and community events along the water.
