Michigan Parkinson Foundation Fun Run

The Michigan Parkinson Foundation Fun Run is scheduled for Wednesday, June 3, 2026, on Lake St Clair.
Now entering its sixth year, the annual Fun Run has become a major gathering for Michigan’s recreational and performance boating community while raising significant funding for the Michigan Parkinson Foundations statewide support programs for families affected by Parkinson’s disease.
Originally launched as a grassroots boating fundraiser organized by Michigan performance boaters Matt Floore, Danny Lichocki, and Randal Pagel, the event has rapidly evolved into one of Lake St. Clair’s premier charity boating gatherings.
According to organizers, the Fun Run has now raised more than $650,000 for the Michigan Parkinson Foundation since its launch. The 2026 event will once again center around Harsens Island and the South Channel region of Lake St. Clair, with participating boats traveling between multiple waterfront stops throughout the day.
Organizers confirmed the event will run from approximately 8:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. EDT and will include breakfast, lunch, dinner, poker-style checkpoint stops, dockside gatherings, and charity fundraising activities.
The 2026 Fun Run is restricted to boats 25 feet and larger, with cruisers and offshore-style recreational boats strongly represented throughout the fleet. A minimum of four passengers is required per vessel, and participation is capped at 60 pre-registered boats.
Organizers also noted that the event has sold out five consecutive years and will once again originate near The Old Club on Harsens Island before participants travel between multiple lakefront destinations and marina stops throughout the South Channel and surrounding Lake St. Clair boating areas.
