LEOPA Thunderfest

LEOPA Thunderfest 2026 is scheduled for Friday, July 31, and Saturday, August 1, 2026, in Monroe, Michigan. The event will start from Monroe Boat Club, located at 7932 Bolles Harbor Drive, Monroe, MI 48161.

The two-day poker run is hosted by the Lake Erie Offshore Performance Association and will include boating, poker-run stops, dockage, food, entertainment, and evening gatherings. Registration opens April 12 and runs through July 15, with space listed as limited.

Note: Registration is only open to 65 boats. Organizers suggest: Bolles Harbor Boat Ramp to launch your boat if you plan to trailer it to the weekend event.

Friday’s schedule includes a lunch run to Clamdiggers, with lunch not included in the registration package. The Friday event will also include a band for participants.

Saturday’s schedule features the main Thunderfest Poker Run on the water, with offshore-style action and a band scheduled after the run. Participants will collect cards during the poker run, and the event will be based out of Monroe Boat Club for the weekend. More live music is scheduled for Saturday as well.

Registration is listed at $480 for a boat, captain, and first mate. Each additional rider is $180. The flyer notes that registration should be completed online at Thunderfest.us. Registration includes: 

  • Dockage for Friday and Saturday night
  • Welcome Party Friday night
  • Breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday
  • A welcome bag with gifts
  • An event shirt for every paid rider
  • 1 poker hand per boat
