Lake Legends Poker Run
The inaugural 2026 Lake Legends Poker Run at Sulphur Creek Resort is set to bring a new high-energy boating tradition to Dale Hollow Lake this summer as boaters from across the region gather for a weekend of cruising, competition, and lakefront entertainment.
Scheduled for June 11–13, 2026, the new poker run is being organized through a partnership between Cumberland County Tourism and Sulphur Creek Resort. Event organizers describe the run as a fun, safe, and family-friendly boating event designed to welcome everything from pontoons and cruisers to high-performance boats and center consoles.
The Lake Legends Poker Run will send participants across the scenic waters of Dale Hollow Lake as crews travel between participating marinas collecting playing cards in hopes of building the best five-card poker hand. Unlike many traditional poker runs focused solely on speed and performance boats, organizers are emphasizing a relaxed atmosphere where all boating enthusiasts can participate and enjoy the lake at their own pace.
Participants may begin their run on either Friday or Saturday morning from any participating marina, though all teams must first check in and pick up their event packet at Sulphur Creek Resort before heading out onto the water. With 11 marinas involved throughout the event, boaters will have multiple opportunities to stop, explore, and improve their chances of drawing a winning hand.
The 2026 event will feature major cash payouts, including a $5,000 grand prize for the best poker hand, $3,000 for second place, and $1,000 for third place. Registration is currently listed at $100 per boat for advance sign-ups, with day-of-event registration increasing to $125.
