The 9th Annual Lake Hawkins Poker Run is scheduled for Saturday, June 20, 2026, on Lake Hawkins in East Texas. The event gives participants a chance to spend the day on the lake while helping support the Lake Hawkins Fourth of July fireworks.

Registration takes place Saturday morning on the lakefront at Taste of Italy, where a white tent will be set up for poker run check-in. Registration runs from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. A $20 donation includes one scorecard, and participants may donate additional money to receive a second scorecard.

The poker run starts at 11:00 a.m. and ends at 1:00 p.m. Participants will visit four boat docks around the lake marked with “Poker Run Stop” signs. At each dock, participants draw one card and have their scorecard marked with the card they drew. The fifth card is drawn after returning to the Taste of Italy waterfront starting point.

Three prizes will be awarded for the highest hands. Winners will be announced at 1:00 p.m. and must be present to win. One of the stops will also offer a hot dog, chips and drink for a $5 donation.

The event is not limited to boats or motorcycles, and participants may use any form of transportation they choose. All proceeds from the Lake Hawkins Poker Run go toward the Fourth of July fireworks, making the event a community fundraiser tied to one of the lake’s major summer celebrations.
