Lake Conroe Thunder Run

The Conroe Thunder Run takes place September 25–27, 2026, on Lake Conroe in Texas, bringing performance boaters together for the 39th Annual TOPPS Lake Conroe Poker Run. Officially named Conroe Thunder Run, the event introduces a bold new identity for this long-running Texas poker run tradition.

For 2026, the run will carry a patriotic feel in honor of America’s 250th birthday, adding a red, white, and blue theme to a weekend already built around horsepower, lake cruising, and the Lake Conroe boating community. While the patriotic theme celebrates the 2026 milestone, organizers note that the Conroe Thunder Run name is here to stay for future years.

The event will once again be based at Margaritaville Lake Resort Lake Conroe, which returns as the host hotel for the weekend. Participants can expect a full performance boating weekend with registration, group boating, poker run activity, and social time with other boaters on and around Lake Conroe.
