Hudson River Fun Run

The 2026 Hudson River Fun Run is scheduled for Saturday, September 26, 2026, beginning at the City of Newburgh Public Boat Launch in Newburgh, New York. Hosted by Mike Lynn, Jeff Roscino and Kyle Wikel, the event brings performance-boat owners, recreational boaters, families and friends together for a scenic group cruise on the Hudson River.

Launch and staging begin at 7:30 a.m. at the City of Newburgh Public Boat Launch at 1 Washington Street. The facility has a two-boat launch ramp and parking for approximately 36 to 40 truck-and-trailer rigs. A $15 parking fee applies, and the docks are reserved for launching and retrieving boats only. Participants will stage at Riverfront Marina approximately 1,500 feet north of the public launch.

Breakfast begins at 9 a.m. at Billy Joe’s. Coffee and breakfast will be available, with breakfast and docking included in the run entrance fee. The driver meeting is scheduled for 10:30 a.m., followed by departure from the docks at 10:45 a.m.

The fleet will head north at 11 a.m. and regroup at the Mid-Hudson Bridge before continuing upriver. The Hudson River Fun Run follows a group cruising format rather than a traditional poker run, allowing boats with different speeds and performance capabilities to travel together while maintaining a safe and organized route.

The group is scheduled to arrive at The Cornell, formerly Ole Savannah, between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. The largest boats will dock first, with the remaining boats rafting from longest to shortest. Kingston City Marina slips will also be available for a fee. A buffet lunch is included with the run, and a cash bar will be available.

The return trip is scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m., although participants may choose to continue boating. Those returning to Newburgh may dock at Billy Joe’s for a $25 fee through Newburgh Riverfront Marina and should arrive before 6 p.m.

The Hudson River provides a scenic backdrop for the run, with crews passing riverfront communities, bridges, mountain views and several well-known Hudson Valley landmarks. The open format allows participants to enjoy the route at a responsible pace while regrouping periodically so the fleet can remain connected throughout the day.

Organizers emphasize that the Hudson River Fun Run is not a race. Captains should give surrounding boats adequate space, maintain a proper lookout, wear life jackets and operate responsibly around marinas, commercial vessels and other river traffic. With organized staging, breakfast, a waterfront buffet lunch and a scenic Hudson River cruise, the 2026 Hudson River Fun Run offers a full day of performance boating and camaraderie on the water.
