Great South Bay Poker Run

Great South Bay Poker Run

The 2nd Annual GSB Poker Run is scheduled for Saturday, May 30, 2026, bringing performance boats, center consoles, and boating enthusiasts together on New York’s Great South Bay for another day of poker hands, waterfront gatherings, and high-performance boating. Organized by the GSB Poker Run, the event has quickly gained momentum within the Long Island boating community following a successful inaugural run.

Based around Great South Bay, the poker run welcomes a wide variety of boats ranging from offshore performance boats and catamarans to center consoles and recreational cruising boats. Organizers have emphasized that the event is designed for all types of boaters rather than strictly “go-fast” performance boats, helping expand participation throughout the Long Island boating scene.

According to event organizers, registration for the 2026 event opened earlier this spring with participation spots expected to fill quickly as interest continues to grow heading into the second annual run. The event’s official social media pages have promoted the poker run as one of the emerging summer boating gatherings in the Northeast performance boating community.

The poker run format will once again send participants to multiple checkpoints throughout the Great South Bay region where boaters collect cards in hopes of building the strongest final poker hand. Waterfront social stops, marina gatherings, dockside entertainment, and raft-up style boating atmospheres are expected throughout the day as fleets move between checkpoints across the bay.

Event organizers recently announced Pursuit Boats as the main sponsor for the 2026 event, marking a major partnership expansion as the poker run continues building visibility among performance boating brands and marine industry companies.

The GSB Poker Run joins a growing calendar of Northeast poker run events and has already begun attracting interest from participants across New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and surrounding coastal boating communities. Organizers have continued promoting the event as both a social boating experience and a celebration of Long Island’s boating culture heading into the 2026 summer season.
