Chickasawhay River poker run

Top Gun Poker Run

The 2026 Chickasawhay River Poker Run is scheduled for Saturday, June 13, bringing boaters back to the Chickasawhay River for a full day of cards, sandbar stops and time on the water.

Poker hands are $25 each, with sales closing Tuesday, June 10, at 9:00 p.m. Hands may be purchased through CashApp at $TDPIS, Venmo at Terry_Wayne, or by cash appointment. When purchasing through CashApp or Venmo, participants must include the first and last name of each person buying a hand, along with a phone number. Only one person is allowed per hand, and anyone purchasing for multiple people should list every participant’s first and last name in the payment note.

The run begins at Old Avera Boat Ramp, where participants can pick up their first card between 7:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. Any remaining event T-shirts will also be available at the first stop before boats head down the river.

The second stop is the sandbar near Coaker Bluff, commonly known as the area where the river cut through. Cards will be available at that stop until 11:00 a.m. From there, boaters continue to Four Mile Creek Sandbar, where the third card will be available until 1:00 p.m.

The fourth stop is Wild Country Sandbar, with cards available until 3:00 p.m. The final stop is the same final sandbar location used in previous years. Participants must arrive by 4:00 p.m. to receive their last card.

At the final stop, event officials will open and verify all poker hands. With boats, friends, card stops and a full day on the Chickasawhay River, the 2026 Chickasawhay River Poker Run is set up as a community river run built around good water, good crews and the chance to pull a winning hand.
