Benefit Poker Run on the Tensaw

The Boat Poker Run for Ashley Reed is scheduled for Saturday, June 6, with participants gathering at Cliffs Landing and River Pub for a day on the water in support of Ashley and Jason Reed.

Ashley recently underwent a kidney and pancreas transplant, and while she focuses on recovery, her husband Jason has been by her side at Ochsner in New Orleans helping with her day-to-day care. The poker run is being organized to help support the family with medical bills and related expenses during Ashley’s recovery.

The event is set to begin at 11:00 a.m., with the final draw scheduled for 5:00 p.m. at the River Pub. Entry is $25 per boat or per hand, and participants do not need a boat to take part. Supporters are encouraged to come out, buy a hand, hang out at the sandbar, and enjoy the day with the boating community.

The poker run will pay three places, with hands drawn at 5:00 p.m. back at the River Pub. Raffle prizes will also be available, with tickets sold on-site during the event.

Shotgun BBQ will be on-site selling plates, giving participants and supporters a chance to grab food while enjoying the day of boating, socializing, and giving back.
