The 6th Annual APL Unleashed Poker Run is scheduled for Friday, July 18, 2026, on California’s Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta, bringing together performance boats, recreational cruisers, and Delta boating enthusiasts for a full day of poker run activities, waterfront stops, live entertainment, and charity fundraising benefiting the Animal Protection League. The growing Northern California event has become one of the region’s more recognized summer poker runs while supporting low-cost and no-cost animal welfare programs throughout the Stockton area.

The event is headquartered at Windmill Cove Resort & Marina, where participants will begin the day before traveling through multiple poker run stops across the Sacramento River Delta system. Organizers describe the event as open to both fast performance boats and casual leisure boaters, emphasizing that all boat types are welcome throughout the Delta adventure.

According to organizers, the poker run will include a full day of live music, food, drinks, raffle prizes, silent auctions, poker hand competitions, and waterfront entertainment. Participants also receive event T-shirts, swag bags, and professional overhead action photography capturing boats throughout the run.

The Unleashed Poker Run has steadily grown since its launch several years ago and now typically attracts dozens of boats ranging from offshore performance catamarans and V-bottoms to cruisers and recreational family boats throughout the winding Delta waterways.

Organizers have previously structured the event using separate route options for faster boats and slower recreational boats to help accommodate different boating styles while maintaining safety throughout the Delta’s maze of sloughs and river channels. Both routes traditionally conclude back at Windmill Cove for the evening celebrations and poker hand reveal.

The evening festivities are expected to conclude with dinner, silent auction activities, raffle prize giveaways, and the official poker run winner announcements. Event organizers noted that proceeds from the Unleashed Poker Run directly support the Animal Protection League’s efforts involving low-cost spay and neuter services, animal wellness programs, community outreach, and care assistance for pets belonging to unhoused individuals throughout the region.
