Anchors & Aces Poker Run
The Anchors & Aces Lake Run is scheduled for Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Lake Mohave, bringing boaters together for a full afternoon of poker run activities, live music, giveaways, and waterfront entertainment centered around Katherine Landing. The event is part of the America 250 Nevada celebration and is expected to draw recreational boaters, lake visitors, and performance boating enthusiasts from across Arizona, Nevada, and the Southwest.
According to event organizers, the Anchors & Aces Lake Run will run from 12:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., with early registration activities beginning at 9:00 a.m. at Katherine Landing, located approximately 15 minutes north of Laughlin and Bullhead City. Participants will travel by boat to multiple coves across Lake Mohave collecting poker cards throughout the afternoon in hopes of building a winning hand.
Organizers have promoted the event as a free public boating event featuring prizes, giveaways, restaurant and bar specials, and additional River250 merchandise available for purchase during the festivities. The poker run format is designed to accommodate a wide range of participants, including visitors who may not own a boat themselves.
One of the unique features of the event is the “No Boat? No Problem!” option, where Katherine Landing captains will transport participants to the designated poker run coves to collect cards during the event. Organizers say this allows visitors and tourists to participate in the lake run experience without needing their own watercraft.
Live entertainment for the afternoon will feature music from Retro Rockets beginning at 4:00 p.m. and continuing into the evening waterfront festivities. Marina traffic and boat slip demand are expected to increase throughout the weekend as organizers are encouraging participants to reserve boats and slips in advance due to limited availability.
The event is also tied to broader America 250 programming celebrating the upcoming 250th anniversary of the United States, with patriotic branding and themed promotions incorporated throughout the poker run weekend.
