Abbott’s Creek Poker Run

Abbott’s Creek Poker Run

The Abbott’s Creek Poker Run is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, June 26-27, 2026, bringing boaters together on High Rock Lake for a weekend of poker hands, waterfront pier parties, and charity fundraising benefiting local children and community support efforts. Centered around Abbott’s Creek near Lexington, the grassroots boating event combines recreational lake cruising with a relaxed social atmosphere focused on fun, fundraising, and lake community participation.

Organizers announced that the poker run weekend will officially begin Friday evening, June 26, with the first poker card draw taking place from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Short Circuit Arcade & Bar located near the Lexington Amphitheater in Uptown Lexington. Participants will then continue the poker run Saturday afternoon by visiting multiple pier stops throughout Abbott’s Creek between 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to collect the remaining cards for their poker hands.

The final poker card will be drawn at the last designated pier stop beginning at 5:00 p.m., where organizers will also determine the event’s winning and losing poker hands. Prizes are scheduled to be awarded for both Best Hand and Worst Hand during the conclusion of the event.

Entry fees are listed at $50 per poker hand, which includes the required participant armband for pier access throughout the event. Organizers also created a separate participation option for boaters and guests who do not wish to play poker but still want to participate in the social pier gatherings and lake activities. Non-poker participant armbands are priced at $30 each.

Participation in the event is intentionally limited in order to help manage pier traffic and maintain a safe environment on the water. Organizers stated that only 130 poker hands and 20 non-poker participant armbands will be sold for the 2026 event weekend. All participants must be at least 21 years old.

Unlike larger corporate poker runs, the Abbott’s Creek Poker Run is being promoted as a relaxed, community-focused boating weekend designed primarily to raise money for local children’s causes and charitable assistance efforts. Organizers emphasized that all proceeds from the event will help improve the quality of life for children in need throughout the local area.

Participants interested in purchasing poker hands or armbands are instructed to contact event organizers directly through the provided registration numbers. Payment options for the 2026 event include Venmo and PayPal. Organizers also noted that no poker run ticket sales will be available Friday evening during the kickoff event.

The event is expected to attract pontoons, wake boats, cruisers, center consoles, and recreational lake boats throughout Abbott’s Creek as crews spend the weekend moving between participating piers and waterfront gathering locations.
