GBAHB Poker Run

The 2026 GBAHB Poker Run is scheduled for Saturday, August 1, 2026, on Logan Martin Lake, bringing builders, boaters, industry professionals, and lake enthusiasts together for a full day of poker hands, waterfront stops, and summer boating activities hosted by the Greater Birmingham Association of Home Builders. The event is centered around The Tiki Hut and continues growing as one of the organization’s signature summer networking and recreational boating events.

According to organizers, the 2026 poker run officially runs from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. CDT, with participant check-in beginning at 10:00 a.m. before boats depart across Logan Martin Lake to begin collecting poker cards at designated waterfront stops.

The event is designed as a relaxed social boating experience rather than a speed competition, allowing participants to cruise the lake, visit sponsor docks, and compete for the best poker hand while enjoying one of Alabama’s most popular recreational boating destinations. Organizers continue promoting the event as an opportunity for boating enthusiasts and members of the home building community to network while spending the day on the water.

The Tiki Hut will serve as the primary host location and after-party venue following the completion of the poker run route later in the afternoon. Organizers confirmed that the official after-party festivities will begin around 4:00 p.m. following completion of the on-water portion of the event.

The GBAHB Poker Run is expected to attract pontoons, wake boats, cruisers, center consoles, and recreational performance boats throughout the Logan Martin Lake region as participants move between the designated poker run stops across the lake.

The Greater Birmingham Association of Home Builders continues using events such as the poker run to support networking opportunities and strengthen relationships throughout Alabama’s home building and construction industries. The organization remains affiliated with both the Home Builders Association of Alabama and the National Association of Home Builders.
