CYC Annual Poker Run

The 2026 CYC Annual Poker Run is scheduled for Saturday, June 27, with a Captain’s Run Pre-Party planned for Friday, June 26, at Clearwater Yacht Club.

The weekend begins Friday at 7 p.m. with the Captain’s Run Pre-Party. The gathering is intended for participating captains to receive event shirts and goodies, go over the run route, review guidelines and enjoy food and drinks before Saturday’s event.

The poker run begins Saturday, June 27, at 10 a.m. Dinghies and boats up to 30 feet are welcome to participate. The cost is $45 per participant. The event follows a casual poker-run format, with participants traveling by boat to multiple stops during the day. Earlier event details describe the route as including stops between Weedon Island and Coquina Key, with a mix of private host homes and participating restaurants.

This is not a race. Participants visit the designated stops at their own pace, collecting tokens that are later used to form a poker hand. The best Texas Hold’em hand wins. Crews are also encouraged to choose a boat or crew theme, with voting held for the best theme. Stops may also compete for participant-voted honors.

After the run, participants will gather at the Tiki Dock for the Poker Run After Party from 2 to 4 p.m. The after-party will include mouthwatering bites, signature beverages, prizes and live music from Jeriko Turnpike.

Sponsorship opportunities are also available for the 2026 event, with levels ranging from Boatswain Level at $500 to Admiral’s Level at $5,000. Sponsorship benefits include logo placement on event shirts and banners, social media recognition, event mentions, entertainment sponsorship opportunities and other promotional visibility.

The CYC Annual Poker Run is designed as a relaxed summer boating event, bringing together Clearwater Yacht Club members, local boaters, sponsors and volunteers for a weekend of dockside social time, themed crews, poker-run stops, awards, live music and waterfront fun.
